Financial Control Division
The Financial Control Division (FCD) of the New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration provides statewide oversight of accounting, payroll, and financial reporting. FCD safeguards public funds by ensuring state financial transactions are lawful, properly authorized, accurately recorded, and within approved budgets.
The Division administers the state’s central accounting and payroll systems, pre-audits expenditures, monitors budgetary compliance, and produces statewide financial reports, including the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report. Through these responsibilities, FCD promotes transparency, accountability, and sound fiscal management across New Mexico state government.
